Don’t just ask for what you want….. Give thanks for it!

Thanksgiving is a holiday full of family, food, and fun. It’s a time to be in the moment with family and being thankful for what you have.We all have been put in the spotlight, no matter at work or with family, to say out loud what we are thankful for. Although being grateful and thankful in the moment is a good exercise, but giving thanks doesn’t stop there. What about giving thanks to things you don’t have yet?

Showing thanks and gratitude in advance for what you want is a great way to put you in a position of power and control. Having this celebratory energy makes goals and dreams  feel more attainable and overall makes you feel good. On a daily basis we give high recognition and accolades to our favorite movies, actors, sport teams, and celebrities but never our goals. “This season finale will be lit” or “ The Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl, “ are some examples we give thanks and celebrate in advance. Instead try thanking the universe for that promotion your working for or for the good health of your going to receive. Give thanks to that business plan your completing or the prosperous relationships your investing in. Instead of asking for what you want, try giving thanks in advance for it.
